Job summary

Kulicke & Soffa, a leader in semiconductor packaging equipment, seeks a Software QA Engineer to ensure reliability of real-time software coordinating motion control, vision, and pick-and-place processes.

You will work in an Agile team across sites, perform manual and automated testing, and develop Python-based test suites for system and integration validation on both simulated and real equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE or related field.
• 4–8+ years of software QA/testing experience, preferably in real-time/hardware-integrated systems.
• Experience with Python-based test automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with C++ debugging in embedded software contexts.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and defect tracking with Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans for real-time control software.
• Review and refine software requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing on equipment software.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution in defect-tracking tools.
• Design and implement automated tests using Python for system validation.
• Validate software in simulation environments and on actual equipment.
• Support demos, qualification, and customer buyoff testing.
• Investigate system behavior and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
• Improve test coverage, QA processes, and tooling.
