Job summary

Dynamic Ratings Inc. is seeking a hands-on QA Test Team Lead in Sussex, WI to guide quality engineering for embedded systems and software products. You will lead a small global QA/Test team, coordinating testing across hardware, firmware, and frontend software while interfacing with product owners, project managers, and support teams.

The right candidate will combine leadership with deep testing expertise, manage release readiness, and drive test process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and relevant experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a QA/test team.
• Strong experience testing embedded systems and complex software.
• Experience with manual and automated testing and release processes.
• Ability to interpret schematics, logs, and diagnostic outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support the QA/Test team across priorities and development.
• Plan and coordinate testing for embedded systems, hardware, firmware, and software tools.
• Design, review, and execute test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Support manual, automated, functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Work with development early to clarify requirements and release risks.
• Review defects and quality metrics for release readiness.
• Improve automated testing and CI practices.
• Assist hardware troubleshooting with lab equipment.
• Provide third-level support for complex issues across teams.
• Participate in design reviews, sprints, and quality initiatives.
