Job summary

Nabors in Houston, TX is seeking a technically strong QA Engineer who will stay hands-on with testing, write and maintain automation, and lead an offshore QA team within an Agile/Scrum delivery model.

You will design a robust Playwright-based automation framework, drive AI-assisted testing adoption, and ensure fast feedback through CI/CD integrated regression suites. Strong API testing and performance testing experience are essential.

Qualifications

Proven hands-on leadership of QA for cloud/edge platforms or SaaS products.
Strong, real-world experience with Playwright for UI and API automation.
Experience testing containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology; embedded QA lead within Scrum teams.
Experience managing or directing offshore QA teams.
Strong grasp of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.) and test framework design.
Familiarity with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, or similar).

Responsibilities

Stay hands-on with day-to-day testing activities and contribute to automation.
Design, build, and maintain a robust test automation framework with Playwright.
Mentor and manage an offshore QA team across time zones.
Lead QA in Scrum ceremonies and promote best practices in Agile delivery.
Drive AI-assisted testing to accelerate test creation and maintenance.
Build and maintain a CI/CD integrated automated regression suite.
Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and Product to embed quality early in SDLC.
Establish QA metrics and reporting for leadership visibility.
Own API testing, performance/load testing, and data pipeline validation as needed.
