Job summary

Lab37 Robotics, a technology company focused on robotic food production, seeks a Senior Software Quality Engineer to own test strategy, release validation, automation, and issue triage across complex software and workflows. You will work across frontend, backend, cloud, integrations, and robot-adjacent interfaces, partnering with product, culinary, operations, firmware, and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software quality, test engineering, or related experience with ownership of complex test strategies.
• Experience creating and executing test plans for production software.
• Strong experience with test automation.
• Experience testing APIs, backend services, web apps, databases, integrations, and event-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test strategies for complex product capabilities spanning UI, backend, cloud, integrations, and robot-adjacent systems.
• Develop detailed test plans based on requirements, designs, workflows and system dependencies.
• Own and coordinate release checkout and readiness criteria for go/no-go decisions.
• Build and maintain automated tests for APIs, backend services, web apps, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
• Collaborate with product, culinary, and operations teams to validate real-world workflows.
• Test software for configuring and managing kitchen operations, including orders, menus, recipes, tasks, alerts, and performance visibility.
• Validate integrations with delivery and commerce platforms, including order intake and state communication.
• Test operator-facing and robot-adjacent interfaces used in production environments.
• Work with firmware and robotics engineers to validate system behavior across software and hardware boundaries.
• Help improve system testability with simulation environments, mocked services, and diagnostic tooling.
• Perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Own quality activities through rollout and production support, including observability and issue triage.
• Participate in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews to improve reliability.
