Job summary

Comrise is seeking an experienced Sr. Software QA Engineer to join our Newton, MA team on a 12-month contract.

You will develop and execute testing strategies for application and embedded software, identify defects, and collaborate with software, hardware, and product engineering teams to ensure high-quality, reliable products. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in software QA, hands-on testing of software/hardware systems, and scripting or programming for test automation.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is required.
Experience with testing of software and embedded hardware systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases for application and embedded software.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking systems.
Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and testing needs.
Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
Troubleshoot software and system-level issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
Recommend improvements to enhance software performance, reliability, and quality.
Support test automation and continuous improvement of QA processes.
Maintain clear and accurate test documentation and quality records.
