Job summary

Cyclops is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead automation and QA for a crypto payment platform. You will own test strategy, write automated UI/API tests, and drive CI integration while performing hands-on testing for client releases.

The role requires 5+ years in QA for web apps, TypeScript expertise, Playwright familiarity, and strong English communication. This is a remote US-friendly position with global flexibility and ongoing crypto domain involvement.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer for web applications.
Automation tests written for UI, API, or backend.
Strong TypeScript programming skills.
Experience with Playwright or a modern automation framework.
Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on manual testing including exploratory and acceptance testing.
Proficiency with API testing tools like Insomnia or Postman.
Ability to write SQL queries for testing and data verification.
Understanding of test pyramid and automation strategy.
Ability to utilize AI tooling in test design and code review.
Crypto domain understanding is mandatory to learn flows on the job.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

Own test strategy and execution for the squad including acceptance, exploratory, and regression testing.
Write and maintain automated UI and API tests on the shared framework.
Prioritize automation backlog and move routine regression into CI.
Review product requirements and acceptance criteria with product and engineering teams.
Verify client-facing releases and perform acceptance testing before release.
Communicate with stakeholders and third-party vendors about issues.
Maintain QA documentation and release/defect reports.
