HCLTech in Menlo Park, California, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to deliver high-quality software through manual and automated testing. You will partner with engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and performance across new and existing features.

The role emphasizes test planning, defect management, and quality metrics, with on-site collaboration to uphold rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related discipline.
• Experience creating and executing both manual and automated test cases and test plans.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for new and existing product features.
• Reproduce, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
• Partner with QA Leads and Engineering teams to define and execute testing strategies.
• Create and manage dashboards that track quality metrics, defect trends, release readiness, and test execution progress.
• Conduct Product Audits to identify test coverage gaps and improve overall quality assurance processes.
• Perform Bug Audits to analyze recurring defects and identify product areas requiring improvement.
• Support release readiness activities for small to medium-sized feature releases.
• Lead test execution activities for small and medium-scale projects.
• Participate in status meetings and represent the QA function when needed.
• Collaborate directly with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure product rigor and quality standards.
• Execute specialized testing activities including Battery/Performance/Regression/Functional/End-to-End Validation.
