Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a QA Contractor to join a fast-paced product engineering team. You will drive testing efforts, execute manual and automated tests, and ensure release readiness while maintaining high product quality.

Responsibilities include test planning, defect triage, dashboards on quality metrics, and collaboration with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders. Onsite in a dynamic, hands-on environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Strong experience with Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
• Experience in Test Planning and Test Case Development.
• Regression Testing and Functional Testing.
• API Testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of QA Methodologies, SDLC and STLC.
• Hands-on with Python and SQL.
• Experience using defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Onsite collaboration with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute and maintain manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
• Reproduce, document, and triage defects with engineering to drive resolution.
• Develop and maintain test plans and supporting documentation.
• Support QA Leads in test strategy and planning activities.
• Create dashboards and reports tracking quality metrics and test execution progress.
• Conduct Product and Bug Audits to identify quality gaps and improve coverage.
• Support release-readiness for small to mid-sized releases.
• Lead test execution for assigned projects and features.
• Represent QA in project meetings and collaborate with developers, PMs, and stakeholders.
• Execute performance and battery testing.
