Job summary

JSM Consulting Inc. Albany, NY is seeking a QA Engineer to validate enterprise web applications and distributed systems across the full testing lifecycle.

You will design test plans, write test cases, and perform functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing. Responsibilities include API testing (REST/microservices), AI-enabled validations, MCP validations, and documenting results in an Agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 60 months of experience performing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of enterprise web applications and distributed systems.
• 36 months of experience testing REST APIs and microservices, including request/response payloads, schemas, authentication, error handling, and backend data validation.
• 36 months of experience testing Java-based enterprise applications or services and using SQL to validate backend processing and data integrity.
• 12 months experience testing or validating AI-enabled applications or integrations, including functional validation of AI outputs and data exchanged with systems of record.
• 12 months experience validating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, clients, tools, or integrations, including expected and error-path behavior.
• 24 months experience using API/service testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, or comparable tools.
• 24 months experience creating test plans, test cases, traceability, defect documentation, and test execution summaries in an Agile delivery environment.
