Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Atlanta-area engineering organization, owning end-to-end functional quality for core business applications, including test strategy, automation, manual/exploratory testing, defect management, and quality reporting.

This hands-on individual contributor role also mentors others, advancing AI-assisted testing practices, Playwright automation, and CI/CD integration within the QA team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software quality engineering with hands-on test automation.
• Expertise with Playwright, test suite architecture, and CI integration.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tooling in testing workflows.
• Strong knowledge of functional testing and risk-based prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end functional test coverage for applications, including UI, service layers and integration points.
• Hands-on across full stack testing: manual, exploratory, automation, and end-to-end integration testing.
• Define and maintain test strategy, cadence and coverage for the application.
• Act as quality authority, providing release readiness assessments to engineering and product leadership.
• Build and maintain Playwright automation; leverage AI tooling to accelerate authoring and maintenance.
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD and perform manual testing where automation is not suitable.
• Triage, reproduce, document, and drive defects to resolution with AI-assisted analysis.
• Produce clear reporting on coverage, results, defect trends, and release risk.
