Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. in Atlanta seeks a Senior QA Engineer to join the local Quality Assurance organization. You will blend strong manual testing with practical automation, AI-assisted workflows, exploratory testing, and quality reporting to advance our QA program.

You will shape automation adoption, build Playwright-based tests, and contribute to CI/CD integrated testing. This hands-on role emphasizes scalable, sustainable quality practices in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software quality engineering experience including hands-on test automation.
• Proven Playwright expertise with architecture, flakiness mitigation, and CI integration.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools as part of development workflows.
• Strong functional testing foundation: risk-based prioritization, boundary and negative testing.
• Experience contributing to or building test automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience owning both manual and automated testing in a hybrid QA model.
• Familiarity with defect/test management tools (e.g., Jira, Xray).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; test plans and defect reports should stand on their own.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end functional test coverage for assigned applications.
• Be hands-on across manual, exploratory, regression, integration, and automated testing.
• Define and maintain the test strategy and coverage evolution.
• Act as quality authority for release readiness with evidence-based assessments.
• Apply AI tooling to improve testing coverage, speed, and decision-making.
• Build and maintain Playwright automation where it provides value; automate selectively.
• Operate automated suites within CI/CD pipelines while performing manual testing when appropriate.
• Triage, reproduce, document, and drive defects to resolution with AI-assisted analysis.
• Assist in evolving the QA automation framework and promote practical automation across teams.
