Job summary

Synapse Tech Services is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to gather business and technical requirements, develop and validate specifications, enhancements, and bug fixes for enterprise applications. You will collaborate with stakeholders to review requirements and obtain approvals prior to code deployment.

You will build automation with Java and Python, using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and Cucumber, applying TestNG/JUnit for testing, performing SQL data validation, and tracking defects in

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of QA experience in software testing.
• Experience with automation and manual testing in enterprise apps.

Job description

The Senior QA Engineer will gather and analyze business and technical requirements and develop, test, and validate technical specifications, enhancements, bug fixes, and enterprise applications. Collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to review requirements and obtain approvals prior to code deployment. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java and Python and perform automated and manual testing using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and Cucumber. Apply TestNG/JUnit frameworks to conduct unit, functional, regression, and API testing. Implement quality assurance methodologies and testing strategies to ensure software reliability and performance. Prepare and maintain test plans, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios, execute test cases, document test results, and track defects using Jira and Azure DevOps. Perform SQL data validation to verify data accuracy and use Git for version control. Utilize HTML, XML, and CSS for debugging, test validation, and application behavior analysis. Work within Agile methodologies to manage feature stories, test execution, and defect resolution while collaborating with development teams to resolve software issues. Use Windows, macOS, Linux, and Microsoft Office applications as required. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; however, travel is not an inherent function of the position.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or its equivalent.

Experience: 24 months in the job offered or in a closely related occupation.
