Job summary

Scopely is seeking a Senior QA Manager, Automation & Tooling to define and execute automation strategies for a live mobile game. You will build and lead an automation team, design scalable testing across UI/API/automation layers, and drive quality through CI/CD integration.

The role requires hands-on C# coding, mentoring, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will partner with Engineering, QA, Live Operations, and other disciplines to embed automation as a core part of product quality,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in QA/test automation or quality engineering with 4+ years leading automation teams.
• Proven ability to create automation strategies, frameworks, tooling and infrastructure.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for frequent releases.
• Hands-on programming in C# with strong testing methodologies and testability discipline.
• Mentoring manual testers in coding and automation; driving shared quality ownership.
• Experience with mobile testing and game-testing; familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and distributed-team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the QA automation strategy for a live mobile game, including scalable frameworks and tooling.
• Build and lead an automation team from the ground up with structure, mentorship and career growth.
• Design and implement automated testing across UI, API, integration, regression, and live-operations workflows.
• Evaluate automation approaches and tools; align with CI/CD and release-management processes.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through framework design, reviews, and test-script development.
• Mentor testers and establish quality metrics, coverage, stability, and defect detection.
• Communicate quality risks and automation progress to stakeholders across teams.
