Job summary

zl-technologies-inc is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive the quality strategy for our product and lead a blended team of manual and automation testers.

You will define test approaches, set quality standards, manage day-to-day team execution, and act as the primary quality stakeholder in release planning — while staying hands-on enough to guide automation architecture and review critical test cases.

Qualifications

• 7 years QA experience, 4+ years in automation and 3+ leading teams.
• Hands-on with Selenium in Java/Python.
• Experience managing manual and automation testers.
• Solid understanding of the STLC/SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and release management.
• API testing with Postman/REST Assured and CI/CD.
• Test management and defect tracking tools experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to build/evolve a test automation strategy with ROI focus.
• Debugging and log analysis skills.
• SQL queries and DB concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end test strategy and plan for products/releases.
• Lead a blended team of manual and automation QA engineers.
• Drive automation framework design, tool selection, and roadmap.
• Define and track quality metrics and report to engineering leadership.
• Serve as primary QA point in sprint ceremonies and release planning.
• Review test plans, cases, and automation scripts for quality.
• Coordinate with development, product, and performance/security teams.
• Champion QA best practices and CI/CD integration.
• Manage QA team resourcing and capacity planning.
