Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a QA Test Engineer to design and implement automated tests for web and API-based applications. The role emphasizes Selenium WebDriver with C#, BDD (SpecFlow/Gherkin), and building scalable automation frameworks.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain and enhance tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. A strong background in REST/SOAP APIs and cloud platforms is expected, along with mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, QA Automation, or API Test Automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts for web and API-based applications using Selenium WebDriver and C#.
• Create, maintain, and execute BDD test scenarios using SpecFlow and Gherkin syntax.
• Build and enhance Page Object Model automation frameworks to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Develop and execute data-driven test scenarios with dynamic test data management.
• Perform API testing and integrate API validation with UI automation testing for end-to-end coverage.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution and reporting.
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Development teams to translate requirements into automated test cases.
• Maintain, refactor, and optimize existing automation frameworks and test scripts.
• Create and maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking artifacts.
• Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and distinguish application defects from automation script issues.
• Mentor junior team members on automation best practices, framework design, and testing standards.
