Job summary

NTT DATA in Arlington, TX is seeking a QA Test Engineer to join as an onsite hybrid member. You will design automated tests for web and API apps using Selenium WebDriver with C#, and implement BDD with SpecFlow and Gherkin.

You will build scalable automation frameworks, integrate with CI/CD, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end coverage. A BS in CS/IT or related field is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Testing, QA Automation, or API Test Automation.
• 3+ years with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured, Swagger/OpenAPI).
• 3+ years with Selenium WebDriver and C# automation.
• 2+ years with BDD frameworks (SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar).
• 2+ years understanding REST/SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML.
• 2+ years with NUnit/JUnit/TestNG/PyTest.
• 2+ years with Git and Azure DevOps.
• 2+ years exposure to Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven test scenarios with dynamic data management.

• Maintain and refactor existing automation frameworks and scripts.
• Create test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking artifacts.
• Investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, distinguish defects from scripts.
• Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and standards.

We are currently seeking a QA Test Engineer (Onsite Hybrid) to join our team in Arlington, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Design and develop automated test scripts for web and API-based applications using Selenium WebDriver and C#.
• Create, maintain, and execute BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) test scenarios using SpecFlow and Gherkin syntax.
• Build and enhance Page Object Model (POM) automation frameworks to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Develop and execute data-driven test scenarios with dynamic test data management.
• Perform API testing and integrate API validation with UI automation testing for end-to-end coverage.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution and reporting.
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Development teams to translate requirements into automated test cases.
• Maintain, refactor, and optimize existing automation frameworks and test scripts.
• Create and maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking artifacts.
• Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and distinguish application defects from automation script issues.
• Mentor junior team members on automation best practices, framework design, and testing standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, QA Automation, or API Test Automation.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and C#.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar tools.
• Minimum 2+ years of strong understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON, and XML.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with test automation frameworks such as NUnit, JUnit, TestNG, or PyTest.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with source control tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
• Minimum 2+ years of exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Degree:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills:

Relevant certifications such as:

• AWS Certified Developer or Cloud Practitioner

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $96,800 - $145,200 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
