Job summary

Uline, a family-owned distributor of shipping and packaging materials, is hiring a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer in IT to enhance automated testing for our web and API applications.

You will build and maintain test frameworks with Playwright and TestComplete, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of QA automation scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, API testing, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of scripting in QA Automation Engineering.
• Experience programming with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficient with SQL, API testing, Git and Agile.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management tool.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance automated test frameworks for web, API and mobile applications using Playwright, TestComplete, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Partner with developers and IT teams to define best practices and create test cases that improve reliability and performance.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using technologies like Jenkins, GitLab and Azure DevOps to support continuous testing and feedback.
• Execute and track automated and manual tests, working with developers to troubleshoot issues.
• Document and share automation frameworks and test results, providing actionable recommendations based on findings.
