Job summary

US Mobile is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own and expand our end-to-end automation framework from day one. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include 5+ years of QA automation, strong JavaScript, and hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress, API automation tools, and AWS-based CI/CD processes. Hybrid NYC onsite expectations apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on QA automation experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid experience with modern automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or similar).
• Strong expertise in API automation and tools like Postman, Newman, SuperTest, or similar.
• Experience working with AWS services (CloudWatch, S3, Lambdas, API Gateway, EC2, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Strong understanding of software testing best practices and E2E testing strategy.
• Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain, and expand the existing end-to-end automation test suites.
• Design, develop, and execute automated tests using JavaScript-based frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Build new automation coverage across API, UI, microservices, and integration layers.
• Work closely with developers to ensure testability, stability, and quality of all features.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams in an AWS environment.
• Investigate test failures, triage issues, and provide clear debugging feedback to engineering teams.
• Contribute to quality strategy, best practices, and process improvements across the QA function.
• Mentor junior QA team members when needed.
