Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant III to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UI and API test automation using Java, Selenium, and RestAssured.

You will build and maintain automation frameworks, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality software and compliant releases across multiple environments. This is a contract opportunity with a 12-month duration.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Java with UI automation using Selenium and API automation using RestAssured.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks and developing reusable test components.
• Proficiency with Jenkins and source control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket for CI/CD workflows.
• Strong skills in test design, defect reporting, and traceability management.
• Experience with performance testing concepts and tools.
• Proficiency with Jira for test management and Agile delivery tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate test results.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with automation and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex software requirements into effective test strategies and plans.
• Build, maintain, and execute manual and automated test suites across Smoke, Integration, and Regression test types.
• Condition and generate high-quality test data to support comprehensive coverage.
• Lead test planning sessions and test case reviews with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Create and manage requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and report defects with clear background and reproducible steps.
• Assist with defect triage and support code promotion through environments using defined tools and processes.
• Implement, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks and identify automation opportunities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
