Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer - Assistant Vice President to lead automation efforts in a hybrid model across locations in Chennai and Pune. The role emphasizes building scalable automation, integrating with CI/CD, and driving quality through collaboration with development and product teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in QA, strong Java/Python skills, and experience with Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, and API testing. Bachelor's degree required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on test automation.
• Proficient in designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming skills in at least one OO language (Java, Python, C#).
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation and API testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to define test strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts in Java.
• Create and execute detailed manual test plans and cases.
• Perform manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects beyond scripted tests.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and coordinate defect resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and report test progress to stakeholders.
• Research and adopt new testing tools and methodologies for efficiency.
