Job summary

Great Gray Group is hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer in Boston, MA. You will champion quality by building and maintaining automated testing solutions and integrating them into the development process.

You will work with a cross-functional agile team, defining testing objectives, and ensuring reliability across CI/CD pipelines, performance testing, and manual testing where needed. The role supports a hybrid work model with visa considerations noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of testing and automation experience, responsible for test design and development.
• Proficiency with Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright for UI automation.
• Experience with REST/Web API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing methodologies and techniques.
• Basic understanding of relational database testing (SQL Server) and ability to write SQL queries.
• Working knowledge of cloud-hosted web applications and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

• Define clear testing objectives, user stories, and acceptance criteria with developers and product managers.
• Design and architect new automated test suites and scale them to meet business needs.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and deployment outcomes.
• Curate an organized testing strategy to support a high-reliability development environment.
