Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a contract role in Irving, TX. The candidate will modernize a cloud-based Store Technology/RIS2.0 platform and build QA automation frameworks across Android, web, API, and performance testing.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of QA automation experience, hands-on Android automation with Appium/UIAutomator2, API testing skills, and deep knowledge of CI/CD integrations with Jenkins. Onsite work with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

6+ years of professional QA automation experience.
1+ years testing MongoDB, Node.js, and AWS.
Android automation with Appium and UIAutomator2.
Android performance testing and profiling tools.
Strong programming in JavaScript or Java.
Experience with API automation and performance testing tools.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for Android, web, API, and performance testing.
Develop and execute Android automation with Appium/UIAutomator2, including profiling.
Web/API automation with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, or REST Assured.
API performance/load testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6; analyze throughput and latency.
Define test strategies, plans, cases, acceptance criteria, and risk-based quality.
Integrate tests into Jenkins/CI-CD; report clearly; collaborate with teams.
Validate device capabilities (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, barcode, offline, intermittent network).
