The Senior QA Automation Engineer will join the Store Technology team to support the transformation of legacy platforms into cloud-based solutions.
This role involves working closely with engineering, product, support, and customer success teams to ensure platform reliability and performance.
The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for automation to enhance the store employee experience and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business risks and contribute to user story definition.
- Define and review test cases and test plans.
- Conduct device capability testing (e.g., WiFi strength, Bluetooth) and develop tools to streamline future hardware testing.
- Perform mobile app automation (Android preferred), device performance testing, and profiling.
- Execute API load testing and performance validation.
- Develop automation frameworks from scratch.
- Utilize test tools and frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Karate, JMeter, etc.
- Collaborate with engineering and non-engineering teams to ensure quality delivery.
- Apply a QA mindset to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Coordinate QA and production release activities and follow up on issue resolution.
- Work in SCRUM environments and contribute to agile development practices.
- Apply TDD, BDD/Gherkin methodologies in testing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in QA automation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with MongoDB, Node.js, and AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch).
- Experience in mobile app automation and device performance testing.
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Karate, JMeter).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and related processes.
- Practical experience with web testing or development.
- Experience working in SCRUM environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
