Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a hands-on Senior Java Automation Test Engineer with retail/eCommerce expertise to ensure quality across Web/UI, Mobile, APIs, Data, and integrations.

You will design and execute tests across Web, Mobile, API, and data paths, leveraging AI/LLMs and agentic QE techniques to drive efficiency and defect reduction. Collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QE experience in retail/eCommerce
• Hands-on Web, Mobile, API/Backend, and Data testing
• Familiar with Generative AI / LLMs and agentic QE
• Automation experience with Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and API automation
• CI/CD, Git, and cloud/data platforms
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional communication
• English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher
• Nice to have: JavaScript automated testing
• Nice to have: Regression testing
• Nice to have: Requirements analysis
• Nice to have: Test cases development

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end quality from requirements through production readiness
• Design and execute testing across Web/UI, Mobile, API/Backend, Data, and integrated systems
• Apply AI/LLMs and agentic QE approaches for test design, automation, impact analysis, defect investigation, and productivity improvements
• Perform SQL/data validation, monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot data/integration issues
• Build and maintain UI, API, Mobile, and Data automation integrated with CI/CD
• Understand retail customer journeys and validate interactions across upstream/downstream systems
• Participate in risk assessment, defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and release readiness activities
• Collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Data, and other QE teams, sharing expertise with team members

• Automation experience with Playwright/Selenium, Appium, and API automation frameworks or equivalent
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern cloud/data platforms
• Good troubleshooting, ownership, and cross‑functional communication skills
• English proficiency at an Upper‑Intermediate level (B2) or higher
