Job summary

The Brobston Group is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance and Automation to lead end-to-end QA for clienteling and omnichannel features in Nutley, NJ. This hands-on leadership role owns test strategy, automation, governance, and release readiness for store technology.

Based in the Nutley retail lab four days per week, you will mentor QA engineers, coordinate global testing efforts, and drive quality metrics while advancing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience across development technologies and test automation.
• Experience testing retail, clienteling, POS, or commerce apps in a store or lab.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, performance, and exploratory testing.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, or Appium; scripting in Python/Java/JavaScript; API testing; CI/CD.
• Experience managing QA teams, defects, and test cases; strong communication.

This hands-on leadership role owns test strategy, execution, automation, team leadership, and quality governance for store technology. The role is based in the Nutley retail lab four days a week.

Responsibilities

• Define QA strategy, plans, estimates, and quality risk reporting for clienteling and omnichannel features.
• Lead lab-based and in-store testing across associate devices, web and mobile applications, and retail workflows.
• Manage and mentor QA engineers, coordinate test execution across global teams, and lead defect triage and release sign-offs.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks, integrate suites into CI/CD pipelines, and use AI-assisted tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Own quality metrics, documentation, release readiness, and testing environment coordination.

Requirements

• Eight or more years of experience across development technologies and test automation frameworks.
• Experience testing retail, clienteling, POS, or commerce applications in a store or lab environment.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, performance, and exploratory testing across web and mobile applications.
