Job summary

intive is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services, APIs, and end-to-end workflows. You will expand coverage with Python and Pytest, build reusable utilities, and collaborate with QA, Engineering and Product teams.

What You Will Be Doing

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services, APIs, and end-to-end business workflows. Expand and optimize automated test coverage using Python and Pytest. Build and maintain reusable test utilities, fixtures, test data management solutions, and reporting capabilities. Create and enhance end-to-end regression suites to ensure high product quality and system reliability. Maintain and extend frontend automated tests using Cypress. Leverage AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code to accelerate test creation, maintenance, and defect analysis. Collaborate closely with QA, Engineering, and Product teams to identify coverage gaps and improve testing strategies. Contribute to the design and evolution of AI-driven QA workflows and testing processes.

You Are a Good Match

If You Have 7+ years of experience as a Senior QA Engineer working with complex distributed systems and/or ETL/data pipelines. Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites. Hands-on experience with Python and Pytest for backend and API test automation. Experience testing REST APIs, including request validation, response verification, error handling, integrations, and data validation. Solid understanding of end-to-end testing across frontend, backend, API, and data layers. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and test strategy design. Understanding of automated testing practices within CI/CD environments. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar solutions. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Cypress for frontend and end-to-end test automation. Nice to Have Experience implementing QA agents or AI-driven testing workflows. Experience with Python libraries such as Requests, HTTPX, or Pydantic. Experience with API contract testing and schema validation. Knowledge of SQL and database testing practices. Experience testing microservices and distributed systems. Familiarity with mocking frameworks and service virtualization techniques. Experience with performance testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, or k6. Experience with Docker, containerized testing environments, and AWS cloud services. Experience integrating automated testing into GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar CI/CD platforms. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
