Texas Water Development Board is seeking a senior software developer to design, code, test, and maintain geospatial viewers and applications. You will work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Linux, Docker and Kubernetes in a responsive, team-based environment.

The role emphasizes data analytics for critical water-related data, with competitive compensation and in-office work requirements. Experience with GIS and web tech is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, IT, GIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience developing and deploying software using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Linux, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: geospatial, engineering or time-series data, data visualization, water modeling, GIS and GIS web apps.
• Knowledge of databases, web tech, and regulatory context for Texas resources.
• Experience with Flask or Django, NumPy, SciPy and Pandas encouraged.
• Proficiency with MS Office and standard IT tools.

Responsabilidades

• Define project requirements, estimate effort, and plan milestones.
• Coordinate schedules and deliverables with team members.
• Document technical and functional requirements.
• Design, code, test, and debug geospatial viewers and applications.
• Prepare test data and support end users during testing.
• Develop user manuals and production instructions.
• Document standards and procedures for the team.
• Provide technical assistance and training as needed.
• Maintain security and integrity of infrastructure and records.
• Keep required certifications and attend trainings.
