Job summary

Select Water Solutions, Inc. is seeking a GIS Developer I to support the development, customization, and maintenance of GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS tools. You will write Python and JavaScript, build ETL workflows with FME, and help design spatial databases while collaborating with senior staff and analysts.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality geospatial products, dashboards, and visualizations, with opportunities to stay current on GIS technologies in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in GIS, CS, Geography, or related field.
• Coursework or certifications in GIS and programming are advantageous.
• 5+ years of equivalent work experience may substitute for formal education.
• Minimum 2 years experience in GIS development or related field.
• Experience using ESRI software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• Experience using FME for ETL workflows and data transformation.
• Exposure to spatial databases and data modeling is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GIS applications using ESRI ArcGIS platform.
• Write, test, and debug Python and JavaScript code for GIS functionalities.
• Design and maintain automated data workflows using FME for data integration and QA.
• Collaborate on design of spatial databases and data models.
• Integrate GIS solutions with other enterprise systems.
• Support creation of interactive maps and geospatial dashboards.
• Document development processes, workflows, and specs.
• Stay informed about emerging GIS technologies and best practices.
