Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with backend or distributed systems focus.
• Experienced in Technical Lead roles or architecture ownership.
• Strong Python development and AWS cloud expertise.
• Proven ability to own architecture, design decisions, and communicate tradeoffs.
• Experience guiding multiple workstreams, code reviews, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Own design decisions to ensure scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Translate features into epics and stories for engineering execution.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, reviews, and guidance.
• Lead design reviews and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders.
• Develop backend services, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Establish patterns for API design, event-driven architecture, and data contracts.
• Hands-on Python development and cloud infrastructure management.
• Oversee Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment environments.
• Support production systems and participate in on-call incident response.
