Job summary

7Th Sky Tech is seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our onsite engineering team in Charlotte, NC. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python and modern frameworks.

The role requires strong knowledge of databases, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams during Agile ceremonies and participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities onsite in Charlotte.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong SQL and database development experience.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (PyTest/unittest).
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite and participate in a Face-to-Face interview in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python.
• Develop robust backend services, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Work with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Integrate applications with databases and third-party APIs.
• Work with SQL and relational databases.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and other developers.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprints.
• Implement CI/CD and use Git for source control.
• Support cloud-based development and deployment.
• Ensure security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
