Job summary

NorthHill Technology Resources seeks a Senior Software Developer with Python experience to support a Federal Program in Springfield, VA. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and involves designing, developing, and testing AI-enabled features across apps.

You will integrate data streams, perform cloud migrations, and build secure, scalable solutions in an agile environment using DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or related field, or 3 additional years of IT experience
• Senior-level experience designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable apps
• Strong Python/Java/Scala programming
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Git workflows, automated testing, CI/CD
• Hands-on with Docker/containerization, microservices, Helm, and dev containers
• Experience with Generative AI tech (RAG, LLMs)
• Cloud-native apps on AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes
• Data integration across sources and networks
• DevSecOps practices and secure software delivery
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate across teams

Responsibilities

• Integrate multiple data streams into customer systems
• Perform cloud platform migrations between platforms
• Develop AI features for ontology-based apps
• Create sustainable software with efficient branching and maintained repos
• Work in an agile Scrum team with ceremonies
• Implement backlog requirements and assist in user story writing
• Apply DevSecOps in building software and automate security checks
• Develop and modify apps, services, and IT systems supporting analysts
