Job summary

Falcon IT and Staffing Solutions is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Software Engineer to join a high-energy team supporting the DOMEX platform at our Bethesda, MD client site. The role focuses on building and deploying a full-stack containerized microservices architecture and advancing DevOps practices in a mission-facing environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master's.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional engineering environments.

Looking for our next TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Software Engineer to join a high-energy team building and deploying a cutting-edge technology stack in support of the DIA-NMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP).

This role is part of a 10-year program supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort, where you'll contribute to mission-critical capabilities alongside a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team.

While the majority of work is performed on-site at our customer location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and occasional opportunities for remote work.

What You'll Do

• As a DevOps Software Engineer, you'll help design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack, containerized microservices architecture. You'll also support systems administration, installation, configuration, and the broader adoption of DevOps best practices across cross-functional engineering teams.
• In this fast-paced environment, you'll collaborate closely with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.
• You will work with a multidisciplinary group of developers, integrators, and system administrators to:
  • Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
  • Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability.
  • Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
  • Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements.
  • Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
  • Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
  • Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities.

What You Bring

You're enthusiastic, collaborative, and comfortable working with teammates across a range of technical backgrounds.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master's.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
