Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Software Engineer to support a long-term DIA-NDOC DOMEX Technology Platform contract. You will design, develop, and test Python microservices, implement Kafka-based messaging, and integrate Elasticsearch for real-time data access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree with 6–8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• ETL experience and Linux command-line proficiency.
• Strong RESTful API design and microservice architecture knowledge.
• Hands-on with Git workflows (PRs, reviews) and CI/CD (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, and observability basics.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and security-conscious coding.
• Ability to work in AGILE teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python microservices.
• Implement message producers/consumers with Kafka.
• Integrate Elasticsearch for real-time and batch indexing.
• Write unit/integration tests with high coverage.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy in Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in design reviews, architecture planning, and code reviews.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and document production systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and operations staff.
