Code Metal is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and implement backend services and APIs for a cloud-scale wargaming platform. You will build Monte-Carlo workflows, data pipelines, and distributed infrastructure supporting simulation runs across varied environments.

Ideal candidates have extensive Python enterprise experience, strong SDLC discipline, and hands-on Docker/containerization skills, with a path to security-clearance eligibility for work involving government stakeholders.

Competenze

• Professional experience with collaborative, enterprise-level software development in Python.
• Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and distilling them into software designs.
• Experience building scalable APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Hands-on experience with containerized development using Docker.
• Familiarity with machine learning tools and frameworks.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Mansioni

• Design and implement backend services and APIs that orchestrate mission- and campaign-level simulation runs.
• Build scenario-generation and Monte-Carlo based sensitivity-analysis workflows.
• Develop distributed, cloud-scale infrastructure for simulations across environments.
