EPAM Systems Georgia is seeking a Senior Python Engineer with hands-on Generative AI experience to join one of seven agile streams within a leading enterprise search project. You will design backend services in Python and work with OpenSearch and Coveo to build and optimize search capabilities.

The role emphasizes RAG architectures, AI-powered features, collaboration across EPAM, client and vendors, and mentoring frontend engineers moving to full-stack.

Qualifications

3+ years of Python development in teams
Understanding of search systems and RAG architecture
Hands-on Generative AI experience daily
Experience with SDLC and Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
B2+ English (written and spoken)
Ability to mentor frontend engineers transitioning to full-stack

Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services using Python
Work with OpenSearch/Coveo to optimize search solutions
Implement Generative AI and RAG-based features
Collaborate across EPAM, client, and vendor organizations
Mentor frontend engineers transitioning to full-stack
Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement
Identify and implement technical improvements
