Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML) to build Generative AI solutions for enterprise banking platforms. You will design RAG pipelines, develop agentic systems, and take models from prototype to production with strong engineering standards.

You will partner with data and platform teams to deliver reliable AI experiences. The role involves designing and deploying production-grade ML systems, architecting multi-agent workflows, and grounding outputs in enterprise data.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with LLMs, agents, and reasoning patterns.
• Experience designing RAG systems for enterprise data and search.
• Strong data prep, feature engineering, and production performance knowledge.
• Solid understanding of ML math: probability, linear algebra, optimization.
• Familiarity with software engineering practices: Git, tests, maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving to diagnose and resolve ML/GenAI system issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML and Generative AI systems.
• Architect agentic and multi-agent solutions with tool/call workflows.
• Create Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines grounded in enterprise data.
• Improve prompts, safety, and response quality through testing and iteration.
• Define evaluation approaches, metrics, and benchmarks for models and systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities with data engineers and platform teams.
• Uphold engineering standards through code reviews, testing, documentation, and debugging.
