Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer to design and maintain modern cloud-based data platforms, enabling AI and Copilot solutions. The role emphasizes AWS data ecosystems, PySpark, and Generative AI integration.

You will work remotely from Georgia, collaborating with global teams to build scalable ETL pipelines, data models, and governance controls while optimizing costs and performance across enterprise lakehouse initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with AWS data technologies and cloud data platforms
• 1+ year of Generative AI, LLMs, or Copilot Studio
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL
• Experience in Agile product delivery teams
• Familiarity with data governance and IAM controls

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Build and optimize data ingestion from APIs, databases, SaaS, and streaming sources
• Develop data models to support analytics, AI, and ML workloads
• Implement data quality monitoring, lineage, and governance
• Support lakehouse and data warehouse initiatives
• Build serverless data processing using AWS Glue, S3, Athena, Redshift, Lambda
• Optimize cloud costs and performance
• Integrate Generative AI and LLM capabilities into data workflows
• Support AI workflow orchestration initiatives
• CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Bicep
• Monitor solution health and performance
