Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Enterprise Risk and Finance Technology team. The role is hybrid, based in Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX, and contract-based for 12 months.

Responsibilities include hands-on Python development for compliance apps, REST services, and collaboration with researchers and auditors. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of OO programming, strong Python, and 3+ years in front-office banking settings with REST/React experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on programming in an OO language.
• Production-level Python experience.
• 3+ years as a senior developer supporting front-office applications in banking/financial services.
• 3+ years as a quantitative researcher/developer with data analysis.
• 3+ years of REST, React, or full-stack development.
• Experience with object and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Python development for core compliance applications.
• Design and maintain scalable, high-performance applications with regulatory focus.
• Own and manage JIRA stories for monthly release cycles.
• Develop and support solutions addressing audit findings and surveillance controls.
• Build and consume REST services and work on full-stack UI development.
• Collaborate with researchers, analysts, compliance, and audit stakeholders.
• Analyze complex datasets to support surveillance and risk use cases.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and improvements.
