Job summary

Global Technology Services is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our LATAM engineering team. You will design, implement, and maintain backend middleware, integrations, and APIs that connect enterprise systems.

The role focuses on scalable backend services with no frontend work involved. You will collaborate with senior engineers to ensure reliable software delivery, adhere to best practices, and participate in testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience developing backend applications with Python.
• Experience building backend services, middleware, or system-to-system integrations.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies.
• Experience using Redis for caching or backend performance optimization.
• Comfortable working in backend-only environments.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including clean code and design principles.
• Experience participating in software development processes, including: Unit testing, Integration testing, Code reviews, Bug fixing and validation.
