Job summary

Proxify is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with Python to join our fast-growing network. You will build and maintain backend services, design APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable web applications in a fully remote setup.

You should have 5+ years of Python experience and hands-on work with Django, Flask, or FastAPI. This long-term, full-time role offers the chance to impact real products and work with cutting-edge technologies across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Python experience in web development.
• Strong experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Proven experience building backend systems (not just scripting).
• Experience participating in the full SDLC, including architecture decisions.
• Solid understanding of API design and backend best practices.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Hands-on testing experience (Pytest; basic integration testing/mocking).
• Proficiency with Git-based version control.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Participate in the full SDLC from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Write clean, scalable, well-documented backend code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Work with relational and/or non-relational databases.
• Implement and maintain testing strategies to ensure quality.
• Support deployment processes and backend infrastructure as needed.
• Troubleshoot and optimize backend systems.
