Job summary

Proxify is hiring a Senior Python Developer specializing in FastAPI to architect, build, and scale cloud-native backend services. You will own high-throughput, low-latency asynchronous APIs powering data-intensive platform features.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years with FastAPI, 5+ years overall software engineering, and strong PostgreSQL/Redis experience. You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to ensure reliable deployments in a remote, international team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building high-performance asynchronous web services with FastAPI in production.
• 5+ years overall software engineering in distributed systems and RESTful APIs.
• Strong PostgreSQL, SQL tuning, and Redis caching experience.
• Experience with messaging and event streaming (RabbitMQ, Celery, Kafka).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and document secure microservices with FastAPI and OpenAPI.
• Profile bottlenecks, optimize queries, and scale caching to sub-millisecond times.
• Integrate internal services with external partner APIs via webhooks and brokers.
• Lead architecture discussions, drive testing benchmarks, and conduct peer reviews.
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize apps and automate releases.
