Job summary

Proxify is seeking a Senior Python AI Engineer to design and develop backend systems and APIs for AI-powered applications. You will shape scalable architectures, build LLM-based workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven products across platforms.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Python and backend experience, with deep learning frameworks, LLM exposure, and strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices. Remote CET time-zone aligned work is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development, with backend focus.
• Experience with modern Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) for custom models beyond LLMs.
• Experience with LLMs (GPT, Gemini, LLaMA).
• Prototyping tools such as Streamlit or Gradio.
• Strong RESTful API and microservice design experience.
• Databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data security best practices.
• Git with CI/CD workflows and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend systems and APIs for AI-powered applications.
• Build and optimize LLM-based workflows (chatbots, copilots, automation).
• Implement RAG architectures using vector databases and document pipelines.
• Integrate and orchestrate cloud-hosted foundation models (AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Llama, Mistral).
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and frontend developers to deliver end-to-end AI products.
• Ensure performance, scalability and cost efficiency in production.
• Monitor and iteratively improve deployed AI systems.
