Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join the Truework team, building backend services for mortgage and income data used by top lenders. You’ll own features end-to-end, work with product managers and customers, and ship scalable, secure software with a strong ownership mindset.

The role emphasizes collaboration, quality, and rapid iteration, with a focus on delivering impact in a fast-paced environment at our San Francisco hub.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ownership from feature design through production release.
• Willingness to collaborate with external stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate and improve.

Responsibilities

• Be an independent contributor who solves problems with high ownership.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ship features.
• Partner with engineering, product, design and other teams on architecture.
• Experiment and validate customer needs, shipping rapid MVPs.
• Maintain quality, scalable and secure code.
• Instrument and deploy product experiments with data-driven approaches.
• Deliver performant, reliable systems for Truework scale.
• Monitor, triage, and resolve production issues for team services.
