Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with strong recent hands-on coding.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for backend and application development.
• Strong SQL expertise with experience designing and optimizing complex queries.
• Demonstrated experience building applications end-to-end, not just maintaining existing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of system design, application architecture, and data modeling.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and architectural tradeoffs.
• Experience working in agile or fast-paced delivery environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps tooling, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Python-based backend applications and services from the ground up
• Develop and optimize SQL-driven data integrations supporting business and technical workflows
• Translate requirements into scalable system designs and clearly articulate architectural decisions
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented Python code following engineering best practices
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure reliability
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
