Axiom Path is recruiting on behalf of a global financial institution in Jersey City, NJ. We're seeking an experienced Django backend lead who can own data-processing solutions and guide cloud-oriented engineering decisions.

You will mentor developers, design scalable RESTful APIs, and build data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Delta tables, while collaborating with product and business stakeholders to deliver robust enterprise software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years backend software development experience.
10+ years with Django and Python.
Experience designing secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and data processing.
Experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Delta tables.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience leading technical projects and mentoring developers.

Responsibilities

Lead design and delivery of backend and data-processing solutions.
Influence architecture, cloud implementation, and engineering standards.
Mentor junior developers while staying hands-on.
Develop RESTful APIs and data pipelines for enterprise applications.
Collaborate with product, business, and front-end teams to deliver complete solutions.
