Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer in Phoenix, AZ to lead backend development, API engineering, and scalable solutions. You will design and implement RESTful services using Flask, FastAPI, or Django, with PostgreSQL and distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Python backend development experience.
• Strong Python proficiency including async programming.
• Experience building RESTful APIs with Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Solid PostgreSQL knowledge and query optimization.
• Experience with API integrations, auth, logging, and observability.
• Familiarity with Temporal, Airflow, or Celery for workflows.
• Real-time comms via WebSockets/Socket.IO.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests (Pytest, unittest).
• Git workflows, PR reviews, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend apps, services, and APIs in Python.
• Develop RESTful APIs with Flask/FastAPI/Django.
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
• Implement secure authentication, logging, and error handling.
• Support async processing and distributed workflows.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for deployment.
• Contribute to testing strategy and automation.
