The ideal candidate will own API development, data modeling, and secure integrations, while contributing to CI/CD, containerization, and real-time features using WebSockets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Python backend development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs using Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and query optimization.
• Experience with authentication, logging, and error handling in backend services.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration frameworks such as Temporal, Apache Airflow, or Celery.
• Exposure to real‑time communication technologies (WebSockets, Socket.IO).
• Experience with Git, PRs, branching strategies, and code reviews.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud deployments.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to AI integrations (MCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs with Python.
• Build RESTful APIs using Flask, FastAPI, or Django and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries.
• Develop backend integrations with internal/external systems with secure auth, logging, and monitoring.
• Implement asynchronous programming and distributed workflows for high-volume apps.
• Implement workflow orchestration using Temporal, Airflow, or Celery.
• Enable real-time features with WebSockets/Socket.IO and ensure testing.
• Collaborate via Git workflows, PRs, and code reviews; contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Containerize apps with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and support deployment/release management.
• Adopt secure API practices (OAuth2.0, JWT) and plan AI-driven workflow automation.
