Job summary

iO Associates is looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to work fully remote on a part-time contract. In this role, you will design and build scalable services for maritime geospatial analytics and lead end-to-end feature development.

Candidates must have advanced skills in Python and FastAPI, as well as experience with Domain-Driven Design and Neo4j. The contract lasts until December 2026 with a workload of 110 billable days.

Qualifications

• Deep proficiency with asynchronous Python, type hints, and async best practices.
• Strong practical experience applying Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Heavy hands-on experience with Neo4j and strong relational SQL.

Responsibilities

• Developing asynchronous, production-grade APIs and microservices using FastAPI.
• Integrating and optimizing graph-centric use cases using Neo4j.
• Leveraging Databricks for data engineering and ML workflows.
