Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Demonstrated strength in system design, app development, testing strategies, and production operations/stability.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Java, FastAPI, Django, REST API design, Containers).
• Experience with distributed systems and messaging such as RabbitMQ.
• Experience with modern data stores like CockroachDB.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools with code review/testing capabilities.
• Strong focus on responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure coding practices.
• Proficient across the SDLC from requirements and design to production support.

• Designs and delivers solutions addressing complex challenges in the storage domain.
• Builds secure, high-quality production software with testing, observability, and performance tuning.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Implements SDLC tooling to enhance automation and value realization.
• Identifies recurrent issues and automates remediation to improve stability.
• Leads architectural evaluations with vendors and internal teams.
• Leads communities of practice to promote new technologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Debugs complex distributed-system issues with root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
• Mentors junior engineers and fosters a diverse, inclusive team culture.
