Rigetti Computing in Fremont, CA is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for PVD to own deposition modules, develop and qualify thin‑film deposition processes for superconducting quantum processors, and guide the technical direction of the process area.

You will collaborate across facilities, equipment, process integration, materials, design, and quantum engineering teams, mentoring engineers and scaling production while advancing next-generation superconducting technologies.

Formación

• Master's or PhD with relevant experience in materials/physics or engineering.
• Hands-on PVD deposition in production or scaled R&D.
• Experience with 4–inch or 6–inch wafer processing.
• Strong knowledge of vacuum and thin-film deposition.
• DOE, experimentation, and data-driven decisions.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced R&D.

Responsabilidades

• Own the process health and performance of PVD modules via SPC and data analysis.
• Develop, optimize, and qualify thin-film deposition processes for superconducting resonators, signal wiring, and interconnect structures.
• Analyze process, metrology, and electrical data to improve reproducibility and device performance.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with facilities and equipment engineering.
• Document process development activities and train process technicians.
• Help set the technical roadmap for your process area.
